A Review of The Positive Thinkers Network (PTN) Kick-Off Luncheon - February 8, 2011
We had 80+ Positive Thinkers join us at our Kick-Off luncheon. The energy was absolutely incredible (You can read what people said about it on our testimonial page.)
We started by having a networking activity that was "other focused." In other words, we encouraged attendees to find out what the other person did for a living and start to build relationships with the people they met.
Catherine Foster shared the story of how the PTN came into existence - blog post to follow, it's a cool story - and she also shared about the Law of Attraction.
Table networking included not only your name and what you do, it also included "The thing I'm most grateful for today is..." When you get a room full of people expressing gratitude, the energy was electric!
Lisa Ryan then shared the value of creating a collaborative environment, rather than a competitive environment in business. There is enough for every one of us. And when we believe that there is enough, the Universe says, "I agree."
We also learned the affirmation that when we feel things are going wrong, we need to realize that "Things are going unexpectedly well, just in ways that are not yet apparent."
Elizabeth Malone, Katie O'Toole-Smith and Dennis Deegan shared their experiences with collaboration versus competition. Dennis Althar and Linda Ford were thanked profusely for their generous donations of the sound system and beautiful photos of the event.
Raffle winners were chosen and the meeting ended promptly at 1:00. However, because the energy was still pumping, most people could not drag themselves away from it until around 2:00. A truly amazing day!
Thanks to everyone who made this event spectacular!
